Custom Board-on-Board Cedar Fence Project in McKinney, Texas

Another beautiful backyard transformation is underway in McKinney, Texas. This project combines privacy, durability, and curb appeal with a premium custom cedar fence designed to complement an incredible pool and outdoor living space.

The Project

For this home, we are installing a total of 112 linear feet of custom fencing, featuring a combination of 8-foot and 6-foot Board-on-Board privacy fencing built from pre-stained Japanese Cedar. The design provides maximum privacy while maintaining a clean, upscale appearance that fits perfectly with the home's outdoor entertainment area.

Premium Features Included

This fence is loaded with upgrades that will help it look great and perform for years to come:

Pre-stained Japanese Cedar
Board-on-Board privacy design
Ready Seal Pecan (Medium Brown) finish
2x6 cedar top cap
Standard 1x4 trim
Pressure-treated kickboard
Heavy-duty 2 3/8" galvanized steel posts
Pool-code compliant gate spring
Black premium gate hardware
Boxed-in steel posts for an upgraded appearance

Built for Strength

One of the most important components of any fence is what you cannot see after the project is completed.
This fence is being supported by commercial-grade 2 3/8" .095 gauge steel posts set in concrete. Unlike traditional wood posts that can eventually rot or warp, steel posts provide exceptional long-term stability and help prevent leaning fences and sagging gates.

Perfect for a Backyard Oasis

With a stunning pool, covered patio, and beautifully landscaped outdoor living area, this homeowner wanted a fence that would provide privacy without sacrificing appearance.
The warm tones of the pre-stained Japanese Cedar pair perfectly with the natural stone, modern pool design, and outdoor entertainment space. The Board-on-Board style also eliminates gaps between pickets, creating a true privacy fence while still allowing airflow throughout the yard.

Why We Love Japanese Cedar

Over the last several years, Japanese Cedar has become one of the most popular choices among North Texas homeowners. Benefits include:

Consistent appearance
Excellent dimensional stability
Pre-stained availability
Reduced maintenance
Beautiful grain patterns
Backed by our 10-Year Warranty

The result is a fence that looks fantastic from day one and continues looking great for years to come.
