Cedar Fence Replacement in Plano, TX | Pre-Stained Side-by-Side Fence Project

Beautiful Pre-Stained Cedar Fence Installation in Plano, Texas

Frisco Fence recently completed a premium cedar fence replacement project in Plano, Texas, featuring a clean side-by-side design with rich oil-based pecan stain coloring for a warm, high-end appearance. This project included 128 linear feet of new 6-foot-tall cedar fencing while re-using the homeowner’s existing steel posts to maximize structural strength and long-term durability.

Re-Using Existing Steel Posts for Maximum Strength

One of the biggest advantages of this project was the ability to re-use the existing steel posts already installed on the property. Our crew straightened and re-cemented nine existing steel posts to ensure the new fence line remained perfectly secure and level.
Steel posts continue to be one of the best long-term investments for North Texas fencing because they help prevent:

Leaning fences
Rotting posts
Wind damage
Ground shifting issues
Premature fence failure

Especially in areas like Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Prosper, and Allen where expansive clay soil constantly shifts during drought and heavy rain cycles.

Premium Materials Used for This Plano Fence Project

For this cedar fence installation, we used:

1x6 pre-stained cedar dog-ear pickets
2x4 pre-stained cedar rails
2x6 pressure-treated kickboards
New WAPPO steel brackets
Flat steel post caps
Oil-based pecan/medium brown stain finish

The pre-stained cedar gives the fence a rich, uniform appearance immediately upon installation while also helping protect the wood from harsh Texas UV exposure and moisture damage.

Why Homeowners Choose Pre-Stained Cedar Fences

More homeowners throughout Plano and the North Texas area are choosing pre-stained cedar fencing because it offers:

Better long-term protection
Enhanced curb appeal
Reduced weathering
Rich natural wood tones
Longer lifespan
Lower maintenance

Oil-based stain penetrates deep into the wood fibers to help reduce warping, cracking, splitting, and sun fading caused by the intense Texas climate.

Clean, Modern Side-by-Side Fence Design

The homeowner selected a traditional side-by-side cedar fence style that provides:

Full backyard privacy
Clean vertical lines
HOA-friendly appearance
Cost-effective durability
Timeless curb appeal

Combined with the fresh landscaping and newly cleaned concrete, the completed backyard transformation created a polished and inviting outdoor space.
