Why Board-on-Board Was the Best Fit

Board-on-board fencing is one of the most effective styles for privacy in North Texas. The overlapping pickets eliminate gaps, even as the wood naturally expands and contracts with seasonal temperature changes.
For this property, the board-on-board design provided maximum privacy while maintaining a clean, high-end appearance that fits well in established neighborhoods like The Colony.

Premium Materials Built to Last

Western Red Cedar is naturally resistant to rot, insects, and moisture, making it an excellent choice for Texas climates. The pressure-treated pine kickboard protects the fence at ground level where moisture exposure is highest, while the cedar top cap helps shield the pickets from sun and water damage. These upgrades significantly extend the life of the fence and enhance its overall appearance.

Wood Defender Oxford Brown Finish

The fence was pre-stained using Wood Defender Oxford Brown , delivering a rich, warm tone that highlights the natural grain of the cedar while providing long-term UV and moisture protection.
Pre-staining ensures consistent color coverage on all sides of the boards and gives the fence a finished look immediately after installation.

10-Year Warranty Coverage

This fence is backed by a 10-year warranty , giving homeowners peace of mind long after installation.
The 10-Year Warranty Covers:

Cracked, warped, or split lumber
Missing knot holes
Leaning posts
Rusting of any kind
Defective gate hinges and latches
Hardware
Sagging gates

This comprehensive warranty reflects the quality of materials used and the confidence behind the workmanship.

The Finished Result

The completed fence delivers:

Full privacy
Strong, straight lines
Enhanced durability at both the base and top
A cohesive, polished look

This project is a great example of how thoughtful material choices and proper installation come together to create a fence that looks great and performs for years.
