6’ Board-on-Board Cedar Fence Installation in Pilot Point, TX (Referral Project)

At Frisco Fence, some of our favorite projects come from referrals—and this one was no exception. This fence installation in Pilot Point, TX came directly from a happy customer recommendation, which always means a lot to our team. When homeowners trust us enough to refer their friends and neighbors, it speaks volumes about the quality of work we deliver.

Project Overview

For this job, we installed a 60 linear foot, 6-foot tall pre-stained board-on-board cedar fence with a custom gate

Key Features:

6’ Board-on-Board Cedar Fence
Pre-stained medium brown finish
2x8 top cap with 1x4 top trim
2x4 cedar rails
2 3/8” steel posts set in concrete (24” deep)
One custom-built gate with heavy-duty hardware
Extension section set back from the front of the home for proper layout

This style not only provides maximum privacy , but also gives a clean, high-end look that holds up extremely well in Texas weather.

Why Board-on-Board?

Board-on-board fencing is one of the most popular options we install—and for good reason:

No gaps, even as wood naturally shrinks over time
Stronger structure compared to standard side-by-side fences
Better wind resistance
Premium appearance from both sides

Combined with pre-stained cedar, this fence is built to last and look great from day one.

Built for Longevity

We don’t cut corners when it comes to structure. This project includes:

Steel posts for long-term stability (no rotting like wood posts)
Concrete-set footings to prevent leaning
Pre-stained cedar to protect against weather and UV damage

Every fence we build is backed by our 10-year workmanship and lumber warranty , giving our customers peace of mind long after the job is complete

Referral-Based Work Matters

Projects like this remind us why we do what we do. When a customer refers us, it means:

They trust our craftsmanship
They were happy with communication and process
They believe we deliver real value

We don’t take that lightly.
